HALEY GITHENS

Fashion is an opportunity to celebrate life. Growing up with two artists as parents, I realized from an early age that I wanted creativity to be a part of my own life every day. Designing fulfills that artistic need, and also gives me the opportunity to share that joy with others. Attending FIT and spending four years as a student in New York was truly invaluable. I am continuously inspired by the culture that makes this city unlike any other. The intimate apparel specialization challenged me and enabled me to master techniques to successfully execute my designs. As a result, I was honored to receive a generous scholarship from the SAIG committee my sixth semester. I believe that beautiful, innovative intimate apparel has the ability to transform a woman. As a designer, I want to create that transformation and empower women to celebrate their own lives every day.
